Sometime during 2004 we started investigating the possebilities for buying or building a new barge.We decided to build a new barge and after a lot op preparation, thinking and drawing and the excellent aid of Euroship Services we decided to have the ship (lxbxh 30x5x3.5 met overzakbare stuurhut) build by Van Wezel Scheepsbouw in Heijen based on the general plan below.

We made a list of all suppliers on this project.

This was the start of a huge and expensive undertaking in wich our 25 years of experience was very usefull.However we have no regrets so far.

	Foto 1 Lutgerdina is build from a Euroship Services design
	Foto 2 All parts of the barge are cut and marked straight from the CAD applications by this machine. The way the constructors can later find all compontents they find on the drawings.
	Foto 3 And next the same machine cuts all parts from the metal plates with minimal loss of steel.
	Foto 4 This wil not be a childish barge. We don't expect to wear these plates out during out lifetime.
	Foto 5 The parts are ordered like a jigsaw puzzle.
